Terraxia Primus
Basically the emperor or empress of The Grand Terraxian Imperium. They hold absolute power which is unquestionable by the public and is passed down to the next Terraxia Primus.
Requirements
To become a Terraxia Primus you must have previously been a Terraxia Betax or Betaxa as it is a hereditary role. The only exception to this is if there are no family members left in which case a new Terraxia Primus is sworn in by vote of most popular or important family by the Supreme Senate.
Appointment
A Betax Primus or Betaxa Primus is promoted to the role of Terraxia Primus upon the previous holders death. A special ceremony is held in the Grand Palace at Terranon called an Ascendance Ceremonia, or Ascendancy Ceremony.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall running of the Imperium. They oversee all military matters as well as being the head of The Supreme Senate of Terrax. Smaller responsibilities of the Terraxia Primus are handed down to the Governor of Terrax such as the running of the capital and dealing with other governors.
Benefits
As Terraxia Primus, you are the top of the top, there is no higher and no one can tell you what to do. According to the law, everything The Grand Terraxian Imperium has, you have. However if the people lose faith in you then it would be believed Grand Empress Terraxia Primus has left you and you will be tried and executed, allowing the true Terraxia Primus to step forward. So you can do what you want, just don't do anything stupid.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
A Terraxia Primus can be tried and executed for abandonment, abandonment meaning that they have been abandoned by the soul of Terraxia Primus, the first empress of The Grand Terraxian Imperium. This can occur if the public or senate decide the Terraxia Primus has committed actions that are un-Primus like and the trial is always in the favour of the Terraxia Primus, which isn't always the current one.
History
The name 'Terraxia Primus' originates from the beginning of the Imperium with the first and last Grand Empress of The Grand Terraxian Imperium, Grand Empress Terraxia Primus. Her influence was so great and leadership so renowned that the titles 'Grand Empress' and 'Grand Emperor' were scrapped and instead the leader of Terraxia was to be known as the Terraxia Primus, which was put into place by the senate in 30 ATU with heavy influence by the newly coronated Terraxia Primus Betaxa Primus, Terraxia Primus' daughter.
