The Isor Plains
The Isor Plains are the homelands of the Terraxians. The Terraxians come from these plains in the form of the Isorians, nomads who wandered the plains living off of the land and fighting rival tribes for claimed land. The plains are lands of much grass that are almost completely flat and stretch the entire east to west of northern Urax except for a stretch of land in the north known as Desertia Isor and a mountain range in the centre called the The Grue Mountains as well as the Sanai Panhandle in the south. The land has moderately humid and hot dry seasons and high humidity with moderate heat wet seasons, making the two seasons very distinct in this region.
Geography
These plains are extremely flat grasslands with not much to see save for the many coastlines and the view of the The Grue Mountains. There is one lake on the plains known as Lake Ura which is the only lake on the continent, also being the supply of freshwater for the entire continent as all of the river systems flow from this one lake.
Fauna & Flora
Flora
The Isor Plains are home to little flora as the soil is not very fertile and is unable to grow crops. Due to this, the main flora is the tall grass covering the vast plains, with the only other being a small weed which sprouts boring white flowers no matter the time of yearFauna
The Isor Plains is home to a domesticated creature known as the Garriss. It is a livestock animal grown on large pastures which provide the Terraxians with meat, as they are quite large creatures pastures contain less than a hundred Garriss.Natural Resources
There are not many natural resources besides the Garriss in the Isor Plains, with the only other resource of note being gems which can be mined from surface deposits which go very deep, allowing Terraxians to contend with the gem production to that of the @The Greater Kingdoms of Koorand. It is also the only region within The Grand Terraxian Imperium with a large supply of fresh water, and supplies all other regions with it.
History
As previously mentioned, the Isor Plains are home to the Terraxians and as such the entire history of the Terraxians happened in this region, save for some events in later history. The region is home to all but three of the Terraxian cities and is most importantly home to the influential settlement of Terranon, the Terraxian capital.
Tourism
The plains don't get many tourists as the majority of Terraxians live within the region, and The Grand Terraxian Imperium gets no international tourists bar traders, but those who do visit go to Terranon, as it is the capital of the Imperium and has views of Lake Ura, The Ura Lush and The Grue Mountains
