Mistvale
The capital settlement of the Phirean Dynasty located where the mouth of the Shayle Stream meets the sea.
The city is famous for its stunning avenues filled with silver birch trees, Luminance Temple and The Palace of the Mother.
Demographics
Government
Mistvale, and the Phirean Dynasty by extension, is a theocracy with all power falling to the religious leaders of Shadrona, with final judgement reserved for Amon Phirean.
Industry & Trade
Mistvale has no singular industry that sets it apart from other settlements in the dynasty. As this was the first settlement to be established on Beru's southern coast it had to provide every service imaginable until others could take over. The shipyards moved to Eoran, the mines to Pitax and the farming to Tance and Balten. This allowed Mistvale's governmental and religious powers to blossom and adapt to an everchanging society.
Despite the industries moving out of the city, it remains a hub of commerce and the Mercentile Wharf remains the second most important port within the Dynasty.
Infrastructure
The city is easily navigable thanks to the numerous wide avenues and open streets. The two natural barriers of the Shayle Stream and the sea have caused the city to sprawl inland as it grows through the years with the river acting as a perminant devide between the east and west sides. There are water carts that transport heavier goods from the docks upstream to prevent congestion within the city, locals often pay the captains of these vessels for passage.
Districts
Split between the east and west banks of the Shayle Stream with the sea to the south, Mistvale's layout and expansion was dictated by water.
On the eastern shore rests a the dominant portion of homes and businesses including The Palace of the Mother, the Mistvale Botanical Gardens and the Luminance Temple. Here you can find the oldest buildings in Mistvale and by extension the Phirean Dynasty.
On the western bank you can find The Workers Guild, the Mercentile Wharf and Mothers Sight, three of the most important sites in the city. This side of the city also includes many of the markets and stores of the city.
