Personal history
Wilhard was born in the town of Ostervand in 1275 to father Sid Tork and mother Wenithal Tork. His father was a well respected businessman who owned a small trading company that worked alongside the Crown to move goods within the Kingdom for military purposes. His mother Wenithal was well provided for and had no need to work instead spending time raising her son.
As Wilhard grew his father enrolled him in the Stockcross Public Consortium at the age of 9 to study with the greatest minds the Kingdom could offer. It was during his time studying at the Consortium that Wilhard showed an aptitude for governance and lawmaking, catching the eye of the Ministerial program and was enrolled in the program at the age of 15.
By age 20 Wilhard had been given his own role as Minister in the village of Demarsh where he oversaw the redevelopment of homes and expansion of farmsteads. Over the next 20 years he gained a reputation as a level-headed, wise and respectable Minister negotiating trade agreements, commisioning new construction projects and ratifying new tax codes.
At age 40 Wilhard was summoned by King Heidem Breaton who appointed him a new position: Minister of Ostervand as a reward for his good work in Demarsh.
Wilhard's return to his home town did not go smoothly however, in the first two months of his position the main grain storage barn in Ostervand caught fire and burned to the ground costing the town a fortune in lost sales and the town was raided by an organised gang called The Forsaken that stole over one hundred Axebeaks from the farms, over 1000 platinum from the Guildhalls and murdered a nobel family in their home plundering a stash of Loomstone in the process.
These events would come to be known as Wilhard's Trial and it would take years for Ostervand to fully recover.
