Trayla is a daughter of House Orior in Rhyderia, a house famous for its ability to create magic items. A life of privilege gave rise to a deep hedonistic streak in Trayla only made worse when she came across the Dark Carnival as it traveled the land, being brought into the private party she became instantly hooked on everything they had to offer. House Orior kept her choices quiet as she became more and more driven to pursue vices that were 'unlady like' and 'improper' of someone of her birth. Trayla couldn't care less about these things and eventually, the family hid her from the light, moving her from the main compound to more backwater areas in southern Rhyderia.
Any hopes that this would free her from her hedonistic ways were dashed as Baaphora began to notice their guest was not attending the carnivals anymore, and so sent one of the Concubus to find her. And she was found and given a rather unique invitation, a pass to allow her to safely enter Emath'Alora to join the followers of Baaphora.
She quickly accepted and found her way sailing to the island unmolested by the normally very aggressive Anrasha. Once she arrived she fully gave herself to the worship of Baaphora, supposedly even meeting her patron under a moonlit night with other faithful. It was after this supposed event she formed the Brides of Baaphora group within the faith, supposedly they are all those who had the blessing of mating with their patron directly.
