The Writ of Law   The holy book of the Justiciar is usually done in the form of large scrolls, these scrolls contain sermons about how the rule of law, fair trials, and order are important to the betterment of all. That it is not vengeance or malice that should punish a criminal but the even hand of a judge. It also contains information on how one could strive to become a judge, a scroll called 'The Trials' contains numerous examples of hard choices to make as a judge, then you must meet with an ordained judge and present your findings, in most cases the person did not think about a consequence of their decision and are sent away to try again with a new problem. Those that continue to try and show a consistently fair ruling are taken on as clerks to the judge, to sit in on trials and observe while also taking record of the trial.
