Ozari Dam

Following the Inland Empire road, you will eventually come across a stand-out feature from a bygone age. Against the grey stone, green trees, and grass spanning the Aquila River is a massive dam of white stone. Standing defiant against nature as it has for many centuries nothing seems to tarnish the white stone that appears without mortar line as if made from a solid piece of stone. On one side the Aquila River is wide and rapid and on the other a cliff face with the dam guiding the water down below to the rest of Rhyderia. All along the cliffside face are statues of Thunderhawks jutting from the smooth stone. The Thunderhawk is a beast of reverence within the Ozari culture. The water exits the dam lower than the statues from large chutes that are staggered from each other. Several are shaped in such a way as to spread the water out to create a rain-like mist. On the top of the dam are dozens of arches, a path with raised guards from the stone to prevent someone from wandering over the edge. There is always a strong breeze and the roar of the river as it goes through the dam but somehow it is a peaceful place from which you can survey a large portion of Rhyderia.   But, why does this exist? Why was it created in so perfect a manner that even time and the elements seem unable to touch it. There has been much speculation, and doors that lead into the structure have never opened for anyone regardless of the method used to try and enter. Even blind teleports are shunted away from the dam, in one case over the cliff face side. The leading theory is that it was to harness the power of the river, like a water wheel for a Smith's hammer, but on a massive scale. This leads to the question of what was being powered. Is it still being powered?
