Mount Gero
Mount Gero is a lone mountain in the County of Geryatdale. It is seldom climbed out of respect for the ruins of the ancient Gero people, except in religious ceremonies and prayers by Gerishmen who keep faith in the god Hessap.
Geography
Mount Gero is some 6000 feet tall and is composed mostly of limestone and basalt with small pockets of Mountainsbone boulders dotting the surface. Its snow-capped peak runs off into the Gero Falls, which the final source of the River Geryat.
History
Famously the main settlement of the Ancient Gero culture, Mount Gero is dotted with the same sort of stones and ruins that dot the landscape. Whether the Gero lived inside or around the mountain is of some scholarly debate, though it is known at the leat that Gero rulers were buried in tombs carved into the mountain. Local folklore holds that Lord Nesar, the last lord of the Gero civilization, awaits still within the mountain, waiting to take revenge upon the Marlish invaders.
