Ancient Gero Language

Ancient Gero is the language spoken by the Gero people before the Charlish Conquest. Although it is the ancestor of modern-day Gerish, the latter is thought to derive much of its vernacular from the Charlish spoken at the time of the conquest. Therefore, modern-day Gerishmen may have some difficulty understanding the language of their ancestors. Various carvings and signs written in the Gero language dot the ubiquitous Gero standing stones around Mount Geroand the wider Geryatdale Fields. The language is written in the Gero script, which survives to the present day in Geryatdale in the form of the liturgical script utilized by followers of Hessap.
