Edward Freeman
Edward Freeman is an acolyte (priest in training) to Saint Caitlin. He was captured in the middle of the night from his hometown and taken into slavery with a number of other townsfolk into the World Below, where he was forced to mine Solvar by his Duergar captors, along with an untold number of other "non-adept" people in the stronghold of Avarak Sul. After his rescue by the Senior officers of The Free Jackals, he came to realize that his connection to his god and saint were being suppressed by the world below, and that this itself perhaps protected him from a worse fate which befell casters who were also taken below. After returning to the surface and reconnecting with his saint, he officially joined the Jackals and attempted to finish his training under the care of Jester. While in Renelestre, he began to study how he might become might help bring about a reawakening of belief in his home land of Talanthia.
