Kunsel (Cuh-n-sell)
The Gatekeeper of Aaru, Kunsel
Kunsel, the Guardian of the Afterlife. Kunsel's primary objective is the judgement of the souls of the faithful who seek entry into the afterlife. Should a soul meet the standards required to enter, Kunsel will take the souls and have them be reborn in Aaru, where they will live in paradise with the gods. He is the ninth child and seventh son of Asurman and is one of the Twelve Guardian Deities.
It is Kunsel's responsibility to ensure that no corrupted soul is able to enter the heaven of light, Aaru. If found wanting their soul is banished to the Underworld. Those that are found to not be corrupted by darkness, but failed to live a life worthy of paradise, are sent to be reborn within the mortal realm. This maintains the pure energy that forms what is most commonly known as the Cycle.
Kunsel is prayed to by those who want guidance on a moral decision.
