Architecture
The building was constructed over that several decades. It is built of irregular stone. The roof is covered with grey-brown tiles. The front porch wraps around both sides of the building. The beams of the upper floor are exposed and grayed with age. There are several shuttered windows on the wall, all painted red.
The main entrance to this establishment is through a heavy ornately-carved door wich open easily to reveal the front lobby. The tavern has a comfortable lobby where you can wait for friends to join you. This is where the front desk is located. This long and finely detailed counter is clean and well polished. Ringing the bell will bring owner to the area quickly, if not already present.
Just beyond the lobby is the wayhouse.
The guestrooms have beds that always have enough covers, blankets and comforters to keep even the thinnest-skinned patron warm, The linens are fresh - but everything else must be purchased.
One guestroom appears to have no entry, and is not numbered. The thinner wall that leads into the corridor opens to reveal a hidden room. It is the same as all the other guestrooms, but is used regularly by the black-market contacts. It is explained as being a novelty room that costs extra to rent, and is currently rented by a traveling merchant. The room is airy and is well lit by not one, but two large windows.
