Character Background in Aviron | World Anvil

Character Background

This guide is to help you create a character in the world with ideas, hopes, and dreams.

Your character lives in a world where information is very scarce. Most of what you know beyond your city is only stories. Your education, learning, morals, and spiritual ideas come your those who raised you. You know little history and almost nothing of philosophy or science. Those who raise you have little time to teach such things. What you have learned of right or wrong came from your uneducated parents.

If you are going to tell your GM what you believe, tell them why.

Now work with them to flesh it all out. The list below should be answered where relevant.

    Character Backgrounds

  • Write the backstory in first person, how your character sees the world and the story of their life so far
  • Begin with the end in mind
  • Make it easy for the GM to reference. Highlight NPCs and other important details
  • Name NPCs, name any ship you may have been on, Bold them or Highlight these so your GM can find them easily
  • It is okay to put side notes about things you are thinking about for your character . You might want to include a direction for them, what hardships you might want them to face. You can also note things that are secret, let the know who, if anyone knows that secret. They will keep them secret until they are revealed.
