Onikron Empire (Oh-nee-kron)

The Onikron are an ancient race, though not nearly as old as the Walren or Kadar. They have an interesting level of technology which they blend with magic using their unique physiology. The Onikron empire has long been a close ally of the Walren Empire and more recently they have become so aligned that the Walren have simply absorbed them into their territory. The Onikron are perfectly happy to exchange valuable and unique magical resources in exchange for help protecting their quite large borders.

Culture

After assimilation by the Walren, the Onikron culture has been mostly overtaken by them, becoming more and more Walren-like as immigration to formerly Onikron independent territories continues to increase. There are now substantially more Walren than Onikron in their own former land, and while some greatly resent this fact, most have come to accept that their race will never again build back to their former glory. Onikron influence can still be seen in the Walren empire though, with various universities and places of magic being peppered throughout the land.

Disbandment

After an extremely dangerous virus that seemed to be especially harmful to the Onikron race swept through their empire, the Onikrons could no longer support themselves on their own and thus submitted to vassalization under the Walren Empire.
