Fatalin Tribes (Fay-tal-in)

Culture: Tribal warriors   Overview: For many years technological and sociological progress was hampered on Fatalis due to the inability of the myriad tribes on the planet to put their differences aside and creat one unitary and stable system of governance. That was, until Kazash Redeye was born. He quickly began uniting the tribes of Fatalis, resistance naturally accumulating in attempt to stop him. After a long war of unification which ultimately resulted in the death of Kazash himself, Fatalis was successfully united. On several occasions various Lizard Cabals attempted to invade Fatalis for both its natural resources and to take the Fatalins themselves as slaves, but each time they were promptly slaughtered by the unexpected vicious brutality with which the Fatalins responded to the invasions, even with their vastly inferior technology level. After the Saurians took over the Lizard territory, Fatalis was entered into their borders and it was deemed necessary by the Saurian government to bring the planet itself under the control of their empire, launching the Fatalis War. Even the Saurians encountered much greater resistance than they had anticipated when they invaded, but eventually they proved too much for the primitive Fatalins and the tribes were brought under Saurian dominion. After many years of slowly increasing relations, little to no animosity remains between the Fatalins and their dominators, and the Fatalin Tribes now exist as a sort of city state under the Saurian Empire’s protection.     Technology: Fatalins had very primitive technology, nowhere near the space age, when the Saurians invaded. Only recently had they discovered a method of creating firearms via a special type of explosive berry that grows on their planet. They would also use Shrapnel Spider as makeshift biological grenades to surprising effect, first against one another then against their various attackers.

Culture

The Fatalin culture is a tribal and warrior-centric one. Even with access to hyper-advanced Saurian tech, Fatalins often choose to live in the more primitive and traditional habitats of their people, with huts and structures built from wood, rope, clay, etc. Fatalins and very communal and while tribes used to define allegiance, they now mainly serve to denote different families and lineages. The males of a tribe are the hunters and gatherers of each family, with boys joining their fathers and older siblings at a very young age on hunting expeditions. The women typically prepare the food and raise the children, but are also quite capable of fighting to defend their own. Fatalis also contributes many more warriors to fight for the Saurian Empire than is required by law, simply to give their warriors the glory and experience they so desire.
