Kazash Redeye (Kaz-aw-sh)
The Great Chieftan
Kazash was a Fatalin born shortly before the Saurian Empire’s entry into the galaxy and is the visage the adorns the flag of the Fatalin Tribes. Ancient prophecies on his home planet foretold the arrival of a figure with one red eye that would unify the Fatalin race, and when Kazash was born with just such an attribute, he was declared as the great unifier. And unify he did, raising up an army from his local tribe and systematically conquering each neighboring tribe, leading to exponential growth. Redeye had nearly taken hold of the entire planet when the largest battle of the growing war so far took place, all his rivals unifying temporarily under one flag to take down this great threat to their power. Kazash did not cower behind his army though, quite the contrary, he fought amongst his men on the front lines, immortalizing him as a hero of his people. But alas, as the battle was beginning to turn is Redeye’s favor, he was struck with an arrow straight through his neck from the bow of one of his own traitorous generals. Not once, but two more times arrows flew to be buried within inches of the first in the great leader’s neck before the cowardly general was struck down by Kazash’s men. Amazingly, even mortally wounded, Redeye fought on, seemingly undeterred. For nearly another hour he fought until the enemy was shattered, dropping to his knees as the last attempted usurper was cut down by his own blade, never to rise again. The legacy of Kazash lives on to this day however, his eternal adoration being forever enshrined by his position on the flag of the Fatalin Tribes. Many even believe that Kazash’s red eye still watches over them to this day from beyond the grave, protecting his people in their most dire need and providing them glorious victory in battle. A great monument was built where he died, and shrines adorn nearly every Fatalin city’s central square, ensuring that the legend of Kazash Redeye will live on so long as there is a single Fatalin left alive to declare his valor.
