The Legend of Ukom is a fascinating and captivating tale of a lost dwarven city that dates back to ancient times. The city of Ukom was built inside a massive mountain range that borders what is now known as Oblon and was established much earlier than Oblon.     Ukom was home to exceptional craftsmanship, artists, and scholars. The dwarves were known for their extensive knowledge of the arts and sciences, remarkable skills in craftsmanship, and great wealth. The city of Ukom was a masterpiece of architectural design, adorned with beautiful statues, grand halls, and intricate decorations that showcased the dwarves' exceptional talents.     Unfortunately, Ukom met its tragic fate when a catastrophic event caused the city to be buried deep beneath the mountains. The surviving dwarves fled to Oblon, where they rebuilt their lives and continued to thrive as a community. The dwarfs of Ukom influenced much of Oblon's architecture and inventions.     Despite the passage of time, the lost city of Ukom remains a mystery, with only fragments of its past existence scattered throughout the mountain range. Many adventurers and treasure hunters have tried to locate the city's remains. Archaeologists across Aurin travel to Oblon in hopes of discovering the lost city, but even the most skilled earth magicians have not been able to find any traces of the city's location.     Nevertheless, people's curiosity has not diminished, and they continue to search for the secrets of Ukom. The legend of Ukom continues to inspire people's imaginations, and the lost city remains a symbol of the remarkable achievements and skills of the dwarven civilization.

Historical Basis

Ukom was a thriving city located in the outer mountain range, now known as Oblon. The city was famous for its skilled dwarves who excelled in craftsmanship, technology, arts, and education. The city's wealth was largely due to the vast mines that were rich in metals, silver, and gold.     The dwarves of Ukom were considered the most talented and proficient craftsmen in the entire region. Their work in metal, glass, and wood was unparalleled, and they were highly respected by everyone who witnessed their creations. The dwarves' exceptional skills in crafting and forging were often compared to those of master magicians, leaving people in awe of their abilities.     Unfortunately, the city was buried under the mountains, taking with it its secrets, creations, and knowledge. The surviving dwarfs migrated to the land now known as Oblon.

The legend of Ukom has spread across Aurin. Everyone interested in history, archeology, and legends loves the story of Ukom. A lot of people around Aurin want to find the remanence of Ukom. Many have tried and many have failed to find Ukom over the years. And, the only dwarfs that would know where the city was located died centuries ago. 

Cultural Reception

For dwarves, the story of Ukom is a significant part of their history and culture. It reminds them to be grateful for what they have and always celebrate their creations. That is why the Sedannu Festival has become popular among the dwarfs in Oblon. It honors the best part of the dwarven culture, their craftsmanship, and community.
