Îrien was the Queen of Annotii, ruling together with her husband Aderthion, though some would say that she was the one that made all the real decisions.
She loved gold and power.
Over the many years that she has lived, many nobles that opposed her have gone missing; too many to be a mere coincidence so most nobles simply do as she says so they can continue their lives of luxury without worry.
She knows how to make her husband bend to her will when she wants something or when it comes to dealings in the kingdom. In her free time she enjoyed trying on different golden jewelry, expensive dresses and getting drunk on wine. Even though she was a high elf, she didn't care much for study so didn't know much about the arts of magic; for a high elf that is, most human wizards would find her knowledge of magic impressive. There were rumors that she was secretly intimate with one of her handmaidens, Elaine Asdhan to be specific. Queen Irien was assassinated in August of 1005, see the historic entry here.
