Headquarters of the Antikathonum

The Antikathonum have existed for well over 2000 years. In the time leading up to the The Great Darkening their headquarters were in the now missing city of Tartessos. When the city was destroyed, the organization was riddled with logistical holes. They slowly reknitted themselves and eventually found a home in the slowly growing city of Lutetia.

As time went on the caves and tunnels beneath the city grew as various sources tunneled them out. These catacombs became so extensive that mapping them was impossible. The Antikathonum took advantage of this and using a series of concealed and secret doors placed strategically around the catacombs they have managed to secure a headquarters for themselves that allows agents to get in and out without a pattern ever being spotted. Utilizing their own section of the catacombs they have room to spare for almost any activity they wish.

The organization is capable of hosting all of their agents and feed them for a prolonged underground siege. The chill of the tunnels helps keep food preserved to some degree, but they are also wise about what goods they take in. Since the headquarter are underground, they do not need extensive ammunition like a castle siege. Instead the focus is on choke points and traps so that if something were to happen where the organization was compromised they could retreat and defend and even escape.

The training facilities and workshops are top notch and have been developed over the course of several hundred years. While most of the facilities are devoted to stealth and covert operations, they do not lack in training for arcane and divine magic as well as standard martial disciplines. In fact they have an extensive arcane library that rivals any other national library in the Western Kingdoms.

Alterations

The Antikathonum have been burrowing new rooms here for hundreds of years.
"My training there was rough, they expected a lot of me. I swear I flunked the course on blind navigation three times and I have the lumps to prove it. But the beds are soft and the food is top notch. I actually enjoy going back, as long as its not for training"
