Middle Realm
The Middle Realm is a plane of neutrality where chaos and order, night and day, are all represented in equal capacities. No one force is dominant over the other. The Middle Realm is associated with the the Emotional Facet.
Geography
Breathtaking examples of hundreds of different environments can be found within the Middle Realm, ranging from deserts to rain forests and everything in between. Many have yet to be explored or (even discovered) by the intelligent races.
Fauna & Flora
The Middle Realm is the most diverse of the the Realms with regards to living creatures. Every climate throughout the known world is rich in both animal and plant life. This is because the very energy that courses through the Middle Realm is perfectly balanced, a condition which life (especially intelligent) often needs in order to exist and function.
History
The Middle Realm used to be a place of pure and total confusion. There was no day or night, just a sense of eternal twilight. Colors were dull, sounds were muffled, and a pervasive fog clouded the minds of the creatures that lived there as well as the environment around them. Even what would later become the intelligent races existed in a never-ending state of featureless grey. None possessed the memory or focus to speak intelligible languages, let alone cooperate to maintain settlements.
While there was little in the way of physical danger, the creatures that lived in the Middle Realm during that time were unable to do anything besides instinctively eat when they were hungry, sleep when they were tired, and spend the time in between wandering aimlessly, never able to remember where they had come from or where they were going.
This all changed with the dawn of the Age of Balance. At the moment the Realms eased into their current alignment, the very fabric of the Middle Realm changed and the intelligent races gained the awareness they currently possess. TO FINISH
