Terrigan's Taproom
As a counterpoint to the Inn of the Welcome Wench, Terrigan's is a low-price, low-class tavern. Consisting of only a taproom, it offers no food or lodging. Instead, it serves cheap ale in generous portions. Terrigan's has a well-deserved reputation for being rough. Late nights particularly can be dangerous - drunken customers tend to get into fights, often requiring Elmo or other militia members to break them up.
Some of the more "upstanding" members of the community do not care for Terrigan's, feeling its presence is a bad influence. Terrigan himself is a member of the militia and well thought of by Elmo, Burne, and Rufus.
The Taproom
Terrigan's has one large open space known as the Taproom, and a single outhouse behind the building. Towards the back of the Taproom is the bar and some long tables. Towards the middle of the Taproom is a raised wooden platform surrounded by two ropes, this is the boxing ring and tapfloor that gives the Taproom it's name. When fights are being had, the ropes are unlatched and the space opened up for bands and dancers to perform - although this rarely happens ever since Quinnby took over the booking for fights. With him at the lead taking 25% of the house winnings, and giving 25% to the winning fighter, there is never a shortage of contact boxing to be seen at Terrigan's Taproom.
