Markesh
Also known as the Grand Bazaar, the realm of Markesh is a cross roads among the Open Realms and has evolved to a massive port Realm that is rumored to be able to sell someone anything they desire. While Markesh is not an enhanced Realm it does fancy itself just as important as Zoatel. And believes that the capital has become relatively irrelevant with the passing of the years and that all of the trade that happens on Markesh is much more important for the stability of the Realms.
Geography
The city is comprised of a series of rings of aqueducts that separate the city into different regions of wealth and prosperity. The original city started by building an aqueduct to one of the surrounding anchor points to an elemental spout that had a water focus and ran the aqueduct towards the elemental anchor that allows for the draining of all sewage and anything else that gets caught in the outwash. The city slowly grew outward with time needing a second, third and finally a fourth ring. The outskirts of Markesh include a number of unstable elemental spouts that tend to attract elemental creatures. The central ring or first ring contains the majority of what is now government buildings as well as banks and is known as the High Seat.
The second ring serves as a mostly artisan area where many high priced things are manufactured and then later sold in the third ring and where much of the city’s wealthy and elite live the secondary ring is known as the Gardens.
The third ring contains the majority of shops and trading areas that serve as the center of trade for the bazaar of Markesh and is known as the Market.
The outer ring or fourth ring serves as the main landing point of many trade vessels and is sort of a slum like area when it comes to the city of Yimthrul. The outer ring has a large amount of trading areas and simpler shops and is knowns as the Landing or the Slums if in the more centralized rings.
