A message of warning, missed
"He warned us... we just missed it"Oldram's Telegram was a message sent by Federation Secret Intelligence Agent, Ardus Oldram. A spy inside the 3rd Empire of Jerace, Oldram had discovered their impending attack against the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets. The message was so well encrypted, that Federation agents couldn't read the message in time, as the 2nd Galactical War began soon after. Despite the name, the message was not a telegram, and was simply a encrypted message sent over a secure line. Several news organisations became aware that a message had been sent, but due to a failure in communication, this message was perceived to be a telegram. After the war, criticism fell on the unknown agent for using such an outdated method of communication. To prevent hatred falling upon their agent, Secret Intelligence declassified all related documents, and the identity of the agent, Oldram, was made known. Since then, many have questioned how the 2nd Galactical War would have changed, had the contents of Oldram's Telegram been discovered. As such, the message is popularly used in 'what if' scenarios, relating to the wars beginning.
Purpose
The purpose of Oldram's Telegram was simple, to warn the Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets of the impending 2nd Galactical War, allowing for the Federation Armed Forces to act, or better prepare.
