The Homelanders were a civilization of Humanity, who are the ancestors of every Astraestoian in the Galaxy of Astraesto. Nearly 5000 years ago, the first Homelanders journyed into the Galaxy, begining a new age for all humankind.
The information known to the denizens of the galaxy about their ancestors is horribly disjointed, though vast. Hundreds of years of history is known, yet the order of events, and often the reasoning for the events occurance, is absent. Even the location of the Homeland has been lost to time.
