Dr. Merlin Foxwell
Dr. Merlin James Foxwell, M.D. (a.k.a. Doc)
Dr. Merlin Foxwell, alternatively known to his friends as Fox or just Doc, is the medical officer of the UNSS Asteria, and between Wings, Jae, and Artrin, he usually has his hands full.
Fox was born on Earth’s moon Luna, and is an alumnus of Tycho Biomedical University, one of the most prestigious medical schools in the Sol system. Though eccentric at times, he is just as even-tempered as Commander Moreva and an accomplished professional held in high esteem by his colleagues. He, like Chuck, quite loves to cook, and the two do this together often.
The crew of the Asteria have a running joke that Fox's beard is actually a sentient parasite that is eating his face. This is by no means true, but everyone treats it as a separate entity -at one point, Wings named it Hairold and the name caught on- and the good doctor enjoys playing along with it. However, no one can seem to find a picture of Foxwell without some form of facial hair...
