Welcome to the game manual and particularly the section that will help you determine what it is you would like to play. Whether you are reviewing this section as part of our Session 0 or in the course of our normal game, please feel free to ask any questions whether to clarify or discuss potential balance issues. We are not afraid to adjust where we might need to! Classes Please see the D&D 5E Classes page for a rundown on the available classes for our campaign. We are using all classes in the Basic Rules / Player's Handbook Races We have a summary of the different races and how they fit into our world on this very page. You can find them in the Playable Races drop-down on the left hand side of the Player's Guide or follow the links below. 1) Aasimar: The heartborn are a empathetic race that has difficulty with magic, varied in appearance based on their 'parent' race but with odd differences. 2) Dwarves: The ancient kings of western Halinor are stout, bearded, and mid-to-dark of skin. Great warriors or wizards, they are a versatile pick tied to the history of Halinor 3) Elves: Heirs to the god-wizard kingdom of Navarre, elves are slender humanoids with a few variations across the continent. From the frozen north to the temperate south, they have a reputation for haughtiness and prowess to back it up. 4) Half-Elves: Set between two worlds, half-elves blend the looks of their human and elven parents; the balance in cultures is a lifelong effort. 5) Half-Orcs: Facing a similar dilemma to half-elves, these grey or green-hued human-orc offspring look for ways to bridge the cultures of east and west in their new home. 6) Humans: The ultimate adapter, humans have, over the course of history, migrated from the western-most portion of Halinor to fill in the continent. From dark to light of skin and hair, they are among the most varied in looks. 7) Orcs: Originating from the steppes of Gholmeshi, orcs are green or grey-skinned humanoids with dark hair and a tendency toward broad, tall builds. They have a culture of honor, both for their heirarchy in Ilsong and the spirits of nature. 8) Tieflings: Cursed offspring of an infernal deal long ago, these devil-blooded humanoids face consistent prejudice in Halinor and are unable to blend in due to their stark appearances.
