Orcs

Contrary to the common portrayal of orcs in popular media as massive, hulking brutes, the orcs of the Vittarakh tribe exhibit a variety of physiques. While some orcs do possess the characteristic bulk and towering height, many are of average build, focusing on agility and endurance over sheer strength. Their skin tones range from deep forest green to olive, and they often have intricate tattoos and piercings that signify their rank, achievements, and clan affiliations.

Society and Culture:

Orcish society is predominantly matriarchal, with leadership roles often held by women. Their leader, Jun Vittarakh, is a prime example of the orcish respect for strength and wisdom. Under her guidance, the orcs have maintained their traditions while fostering positive diplomatic relations with neighboring nations like Asiendal and Kiellan.   Orcs live by the weapon, valuing martial prowess above all else. From a young age, they are trained in combat and survival skills, ensuring they are always prepared to defend their territory or participate in hunts. However, this does not mean their society is devoid of other pursuits. Orcs are skilled hunters and shepherds, adept at tracking and taming wild animals. They also engage in agriculture to a limited extent, though they rely heavily on imports from Asiendal and Kiellan for a variety of crops.

Diplomacy and Trade:

The orcs have a generally favorable relationship with Asiendal, marked by various trade agreements and a mutual non-aggression pact. This respect is partly due to their leader, Jun Vittarakh's, admiration for Eremon Mordos. Unlike many humans, Eremon treats the orcs with respect, never resorting to the derogatory term "greenskin." This professional and friendly demeanor has earned him the respect and admiration of Jun and her people.

Leadership:

Jun Vittarakh is a formidable leader known for her combat skills and diplomatic acumen. She has met with Eremon on several occasions, always fostering a positive impression of the Asiendalian King. Jun values strength and integrity, qualities she finds in Eremon. Her leadership has helped maintain a stable and prosperous orc society, navigating the challenges of external prejudice and internal growth with equal skill.

Daily Life:

Orcs lead a life deeply connected to nature. Their days are spent training, hunting, and tending to their animals. Despite their martial focus, orcish settlements are known for their tight-knit communities and rich cultural traditions. Festivals celebrating the hunt, the change of seasons, and historical victories are common, marked by feasting, storytelling, and ceremonial combats.

Relations with Other Races:

While the orcs have had their share of conflicts, they generally seek to maintain peaceful relations with their neighbors. Their primary allies are the Asiendalians and the Foxian kingdom of Kiellan, with whom they have established trade routes and mutual respect. The orcs have a more strained relationship with Human nations, particularly those like the Ironvale Confederation, which harbor prejudices against them.

Challenges:

Despite their strengths, the orcs face several challenges. Their small population makes them vulnerable to larger, more aggressive nations. Additionally, the lingering prejudice from Human societies can lead to tensions and conflicts. However, under Jun Vittarakh's leadership, the orcs continue to thrive, proving their resilience and strength in the face of adversity.   In summary, the orcs of the Vittarakh tribe are a proud and resilient people, deeply connected to their martial traditions and natural environment. Their society, while small, is robust and well-organized, led by the formidable Jun Vittarakh. Through diplomacy and respect for strength, they maintain positive relations with powerful allies like Asiendal, ensuring their continued survival and prosperity.
