Laura was a fierce war mage, known for her unmatched power and her tendency to go too far in battle. Trained to obliterate enemies with ruthless efficiency, she became one of the kingdom’s most feared weapons. But her relentless desire for combat—and her tendency to escalate conflicts—started to raise concerns. In one mission, she destroyed not only enemy forces but also a civilian district, resulting in unnecessary casualties.
Her superiors, seeing the danger of her unchecked aggression, grounded her. Rather than a demotion, she was reassigned to a military library, tasked with guarding its dangerous magical tomes and keeping the knowledge contained within secure. It was a quieter, more controlled life, designed to temper her violent tendencies and give her time to reflect.
Though Laura resents the assignment, the library has given her a chance to find balance. She still longs for the battlefield, but the calm routine of guarding the archives has forced her to learn restraint. For now, she waits, always ready to return to combat when her temper is in check.
