Church of Light

The Church of Light is the religious order that follows the teachings and beliefs of Azahd, Goddess of Light. This order is quite traditional in its celebrations, with sermons and prayers throughout the day. Each person that enters the church is also asked to light a candle in worship to Azahd. They have members from all over Arrasgoth and are often used for celebrations.   This order has the most decorated churches out of all the churches as most of the rooves are made out of reinforced stained glass to let the light shine in during the day. They also have large stained glass windows and doors so that light floods the building. This is also so the light of The Illumination can shine upon the building as well.

Structure

The Church of Light has a hierarchy that is the same as all the other churches in the Arrasgoth Pantheon apart from the Church of Arcana. The highest member of their church would be the High Priest, but there are those few who are given the blessing of Azahd who are known as The Chosen who are above all others.   There are paladins and clerics that serve the domain of Light, but also priests and others who spread the word. Azahd's words are passed down through words that have been written into the sunlight shining through the stained glass.

Mythology & Lore

The culture of the Church of Light is focused upon the idea of keeping all signs of dark away and to embrace the light that shines upon the ground. The church is always bright, always filled with candles and represents the burning brightness of their goddess' home realm. The church is busy during the day but normally empty at night.
