  • Where was Grum'Larr's home?
  • He was in the Copper Ward somewhere
  • Likely had a secret room wherever he was
  • Do you have a mark of Zonthosh badge?
  • Eye symbol with eight eyes radiating outward, made out of steel
  • Vathash is pretty sure he could forge one of these
  • Where can we get a mark of Zonthosh badge?
  • Is there anything special about the Panopticon chamber? Are there devices or magical apparatuses there that are needed for the wizard's scrying?
  • No apparatus, gears, or magical items
  • Magical circle that they create together
  • They do need to be together in that particular location

  • "Not that I'm aware of, but I'm not sure."
  • You're the trapsmith. What traps do they have in place?
  • No traps in the lair itself
  • Most of my traps are for ambushes or activities
  • The zombie Beholder is instructed to attack any intruders into the space it guards. Once it's engaged, will it pursue intruders to try to kill them after they leave?
  • Will pursue into the lair, as well as out of the lair, but sure how far
  • Where does the single passage out of the Zonthosh lair intersect with the tunnel network?
  • Not sure how deep the central hex is
  • My own map is accurate
  • Central hex going south leads to lair
  • Could the passage out of the lair be collapsed without danger to the city above?
  • No - quite deep, and a thick layer of basalt stone
  • "Actually! You could collapse one of the tunnels, but it would only hinder them for a day or so"
  • "There are structural weaknesses in the lair itself."
  • Five weak points, each requiring two barrels of smoke powder; destroying any 4 will bring the entire lair down
  • Between Z12 and Z2 - two barrels
  • Buttress in Z6 supporting the dome
  • Any of the three pillars in Z8
  • Pillar between Z19 and Z20
  • Pillar in the rear of Zonthosh's Lair
  • Quite a few barrels of smoke powder in his workshop - he thinks there should be 15
  • "Wormwizz ale"
  • Does Qisdinaru ever leave the lair?
  • Hasn't seen him leave by any convention means
  • Does Qisdinaru send Intellect Devourers out into the city, or does he keep them in the lair and have victims brought to him?
  • Captives are being brought in, intellect devourers generally do not roam
  • Travelers
  • How frequently does Qisdinaru turn victims into Intellect Devourers?
  • It varies - based on what they can get away with
  • Sometimes a whole week
  • During larger events, they can get away
  • Who created the Teleportation Circles in the lair?
  • "I'm not sure, they've been there as long as I can remember."
  • As far as he knows, they don't have the means to do so
  • How does the Guild actually make its money?
  • Theft, pickpockets, all through intermediaries
  • Smuggling and theft at the docks - dockworkers are easy to bribe
  • Gambling at the Pit of Fortune and Blood
  • Nobles that are trusted
  • Other people of disrepute
  • Sell quite a bit of Dagger - a poor man's drug, the "lucky dip" of drugs, a mix of something that you might not be sure what you're getting
  • Glimmer
  • Vast connections with the city - information brokerage
  • Targeted thefts, the odd murder
  • Qisdinaru is expanding the income from the information brokerage
  • No nobles themselves yet - just their servants
  • How loyal are Veriene Darkeyes and Daniel Turnbell?
  • Both quite loyal
  • Guild pays them quite well
  • Loyalty driven by money

  • Made traps for intermediaries
  • Initially brought on to expand the tunnel network years ago

  • Qisdinaru may have some creatures
  • Carrion crawlers - were likely just extra beasts that were there for the pit

  • Good at following orders, not very creative, don't make many plans of their own

  • Guild has been here for at least 50 years
  • Beholder's favorite food?
  • Well-prepared lamb
