Salath, the Guiding Host

Second and middle child of Ulthran, Salath is charged with guiding the spirits of the dead from the outer spheres to Ulthran's watery realm for judgment. Myths about Salath usually ignore Verissian's role as judge of the dead, a role that has diminished in recent forms of the faith. Other versions of the faith say that Lolliseri guides the departed into the afterlife, but most modern interpretations seek to distance the Summer Hosts from death.
In some versions of the faith, Salath will actually come down to the recently dead and take their spirits, though this flies in the face of Milosian funerals and most Monosi ceremonies as well.
