River Realta

A great river running through the middle of the Ithir Plains in the Revellian Promontory, the Realta is a vital holding for the Moyras of Bianna Daern, the Maans of Miller's Range, the Aerrins of Sure Town, as well as the Borrins, Warrens, and Farrows, vassals of Clan Swinnerd. Because of the wide and varied interests of these powers, the river is officially held by Clan Beth, with Clan Moyra named as Wardens of the Realta. It has two major tributaries: the Fair Fork, which splits north just west of Meadowton (seat of the Moyras), and the Horn Forks, which curve north to nearly encircle the villages of Glenfield (held by the Warrens). Its source is found just north of the western entry to Dullanach Gorge, and waters Sure Town   Before the Lost Age, the Realta was said to be called the Whitewater. Though the waters become fairly clear west of the Fair Fork, heavy chalk deposits that arrive from the Chalkway to the north can make the easternmost waters unpleasant or even undrinkable.   The Realta is sometimes called the Sunrise, with its nearby shores called the Sunrise Reach. It has also been called the Chalkwater or even the Chokewater by those who live near the eastern coastline.
