Mental characteristics

Personal history

Mudutu is the second child of Utu and Eresu, younger brother to Vaalea and older brother to Rohkea, Ukkonen, and Sinnis. It’s said that he was the one who crafted the mortal races at the behest of Utu. He carved the wood of a great oak tree into the first elves, from a hunk of granite he chiseled out the first dwarves, from miry clay he fashioned the first humans and halflings. One by one he fashioned the other races as well, preparing them to the specifications to the other gods.
It was then that the Godswar started over whether the mortal races would have free will or not. Mudutu sided with Utu and the other gods of good to protect his creations from enslavement. Since the Godswar he has been relatively quiet preferring to inspire craftsmen and accumulate knowledge.

Accomplishments & Achievements

As mentioned, Mudutu, as the craftsman of the gods is the one credited with creating the mortal races. He was guided in this task by the other deities who told them what they desired, but Mudutu put his own spin on each creation and is said he breathed the desire to create into the races.

Intellectual Characteristics

Mudutu is a deeply philosophical individual, who enjoys riddles and enigmas. He is the divine keeper of secrets so he doesn’t just reveal knowledge preferring to speak in riddles and allow others to come to knowledge on their own. That said he is also a very logical individual, who is capable of coming to the correct conclusion from the scantest of clues.

Morality & Philosophy

Mudutu values freedom and abhors slavery. Whether this is the outright owning of other peoples or tyrannical rulers who crush their subjects under in a totalitarian regime. He believes that all beings should be treated with compassion, regardless of any crimes they might be guilty of. He also rejects the idea of exterminating the offspring of wicked creatures, believing that the innocent young should not be punished for the crimes of their elders. He excels in seeing both sides of a situation and seeks to find a balance between extremes. However, he always seeks to err on the side of good over evil. Nevertheless, he values peaceful resolutions seeing the use of violence as a last resort.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Mudutu collects secrets the way a dragon hoards gold. He seeks to know all there is to know, and while not averse to sharing his knowledge prefers for individuals to come to information on their own. He also loves riddles and enigmas, and has been known to reward followers who come to him with new ones.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Mudutu has a very logical mind and is adept at solving riddles. He also enjoys crafting them and often will impart important bits of information hidden in a riddle. However his logical mind can also be his weakness as he is unprepared to deal with those who throw logic to the wind and go on intuition.

Likes & Dislikes

Mudutu loves clever riddles and enigmas and is easily entertained by ones that are new to him. He likes to travel to new places and can often be found wandering the planes to see what is there. He dislikes revealing secrets preferring that beings come to knowledge through their own efforts rather than having it handed to them. He hates slavery, involuntary servitude and tyranny which he sees as all the same thing.

Virtues & Personality perks

Mudutu is very logical and capable of drawing conclusions from seemingly unrelated clues, an ability that borders on being precognition. This allows him to extrapolate what is going to happen by observing what is happening.

Vices & Personality flaws

Mudutu’s logical mind can be as much a flaw as a virtue, as it leaves him woefully incapable of dealing with someone who works by intuition.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Mudutu is a friendly rival with Azu, who also is a patron of craftsmen, but the two have allied in the past against Asmodeus and Asbu. He is on very good terms with Elmúlás and Emku who share his love of knowledge and secrets, and the three often work together. He is a friend of Laki, as he keeps the codex of law, though he doesn’t believe in Laki’s dogmatic adherence to the letter of the law. It is said that he and Rohkea worked together to develop the first alphabet, a claim contested by priests if Rohkea. Sinnis and Mudutu are both worshipped by arcane spellcasters as she is the goddess of magic, but he I the keeper of arcane secrets. The two of them are friendly and will often work together. He and Vaalea are friends, and he is always there to aid his older sister. He dislikes Sanoma although the reason is known only to him.
