Celeste Smithfield (a.k.a. Princess)

Many joke that Celeste is a person who has earned Fate's Favor as she has gone from the rambunctious, sporty girl who's eyes were on the Commander position for the Wardens of Haven to becoming the successor to inherit the Regent seat from Lady Meryllia Blackbriar. Celeste is known for being a well-mannered and serious woman, a stark contrast to her younger years, shouldering her duties and responsibilities with pride.

Personal history

Unlike Raena Weiss  and Ashe Blackbriar , Celeste was born and raised in Haven to the Smithfield family. The family has been in Haven since the historic community center was established. Celeste takes immense pride in being from Haven and the fact that her family name, while common in the English language, was one her ancestors chose rather than kept. 
As a child, she showed signs of being able to cast magic innately and, as is protocol in Haven, studied magic. In truth, she could not stand learning magical theorems and much preferred intertwining magical with physical combat. Being an active child, she managed to excel in the combat lessons that she placed into advanced courses after graduating from elementary school to middle school.

SQUIRE TRAINING:

Just like Raena and Evie, Celeste willingly joined the Squire position sharing in their dream of wanting to protect their nation. She would end up on a team with Raena and Ashe and become the leader of their team. Her focus on the team was being a bastion for her allies, protecting and shielding them from harm. As they grew older, and the missions became more dangerous, Celeste stood firm in her belief she was on the right path.

GRADUATION:

At the age of eighteen, Celeste graduated from the rank of Squire to Maven and accepted her test of infiltrating Meridian and the Adimari Arcane Academy alongside Raene. The success of the mission, and Ashe's refusal to be on the council and inherit the Regent seat, led her to inherit the Regent Seat from Lady Meryllia.

Education

Celeste studied in the Haven Arcane Academy being a top student in the combat arts, but she never fared well on the more esoteric courses, such as magical theories and spell casting, often seeking tutorship or referring to a colleague more knowledgeable than her on the subject.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Celeste set the record for being the youngest person to achieve a Champion-rank in the combatant courses. She would often volunteer to help the coaches teach younger student.
