The future successor to the Viscount of Haven. Raena Weiss is a person many in the city respect both as a person and due to her current, and future, position. While her position is something to fear, Raena is known to be a very calm person, bright person though this personality is why people fear her. Beneath the facade lies a calculating mind that will do anything to protect her city and her friends.

Personal history
Raena was not born in Haven, but was raised in Haven from a young age. Her mother moved the family to Haven due to a recommendation from the doctor regarding the ailment her father was going through at the time to move out of the city, but largely due in part to the fact that family drama caused by her aunt meant they would be homeless. Her first encounter with magic was seeing a healer in Haven tend to her father's ailment; it didn't cure him but rather lessened the symptoms. While her mother would work during the day, and her father was recovering and getting treatments, Raena would be sent to daycare and it is there she meets Celestia and Evangeline (Evie) becoming fast, and lifelong, friends with them. The three friends eventually decide that they want to protect Haven like the Mavens and decide that when they grow up, they should become Mavens. However, unlike most people in Haven Raena did not have the innate ability to use magic rather she had to cultivate her own magical ability which she would study and train since she was in late elementary school with the help from the Smithfield family who sponsored her. Her training paid off and, like her friends, she was able to use magical abilities by the time she was elven years old.
In the summer before her second year of middle school, she met Ashe. Originally, Raena didn't think much of Ashe writing her off as a loner until the moment she saw Ashe heal an injury her younger sister had. Raena eventually confronted Ashe about the event and felt guilty when Ashe pleaded for Raena not to tell anyone, immediately assuring Ashe that she is not in danger. The two would slowly become friends with Raena introducing Ashe to the friend group.
Squire Training:
Raena willingly became a Squire in Haven since many squires become Maven's ending up in a group with Celestia and Ashe. Of the three, she was the physical attacker of the group with her style focusing on exploiting weaknesses and hit-and-run tactics. During training, Raena leaned more towards learning espionage and underwent the spymaster curriculum in hopes of eventually becoming the Viscount. Raena would take the studies seriously as well as the missions. The more missions that she would go on, the more she became convinced of her goal.Graduation:
At the age of eighteen, like her peers, Raena graduated from the rank of Squire to Maven. Like Celestia, she would accept her test of infiltrating Meridian and the Adimari Arcane Academy. The success of the mission leading her to become the current Viscount's successor.Sexuality
In her youth, Raena was also confused about her attraction to girls often thinking it was just due to how much she cared about her friends and peers. It wasn't until she met Alessa Adimari and had similar feelings that she really started reflecting on her sexuality, coming to terms with her attraction to women.

Raena's original character concept was Amelia Weiss where she was a teammate of Ashe, but not a friend and her magical abilities were developing as an adult rather than a child.
