Of all the things I could've written with you during Year-Ender, I didn't think I'd be sitting down to write this letter without you now. I know I didn't come to bed last night as you asked, and as my hand trembles, I almost wish I had. I don't want to write this.
You're the writer. At the moment, I wish I had your passion for it. I long for your wild energy to take my hand and release me from this labor. And, the suffering of what I must pen.
Casi, I can't continue to support us on the factory wages. I know that we'll be fine because of your family, but I can't accept that. Your father thinks he can control you with his Casho. It isn't how I want us to live, and it never has been. You know my father also worked until he died at that job, and that isn't what I want for us either.
I wanted to tell you during Year-Ender. Tried to but it didn't seem right. You asked me what my "Promise" was, on Resolution Day? It was to tell you all of this. It was to keep the Promise I made during the night of our Revelation. And I want to uphold that goofy nickname, "Moral"- the name you gave me. My Year-Ender Resolution is to live forever with you.
But, not in this way. We can't live beneath our fathers' shadows. Not forever.
You know that your clod of a father is wrong about both of us, Casiada. I know it! Once you were unbound from your father, you started to become everything you wanted to be! And I've been fortunate enough to be at your side! Now, I need your bravery so that I can be free too.
During the Festival, I heard rumors that Autumn Harlock & the Seasons were going to pass on their way from the World Grand Awards. I thought nothing of it at first, but something told me that if I met him at the right place, at the right time, all of my silent efforts would be rewarded!

"Snow continued to fall. People in crowds across the bridge laughed and cheered. She longed to be with Brennan; the feeling never changed. She felt bereft yet hopeful.
Waiting, all day, at some point she didn't recall, she had adorned the Frog helmet, as she clutched the Firebird headdress in her hand. Beneath the lonely lamplight at the end of the bridge, in the falling snow, Casiada waited.
Casiada waited for a man that never returned. Not that night- or the next. She whimpered quietly in the moonlight.
