Ad-Anasia: Eastern Hemisphere

The Eastern Hemisphere of the super-continent, Ad-Anasia, was the earliest to rise from the oceans, appearing much sooner than the central continent. Though the Central Sphere ran in a narrow chain across the Prime Meridian of the World, the Eastern Hemisphere had many lowland areas that gave way to coastal beaches and highland cliffs dominated with forests.

Many of the volcanoes that had been active during the Age of Storms had settled and left the region relatively calm. Saurians, Insectoids, and all manners of Plant-life thrived on the vast richness of the volcanic, nutrient enriched soil.

Geography

This land had two large expanses within it's central region and the Southern hemisphere that connected to the Magna Polas. This part of the world contains a section known as the "Ice Bowl", which was relatively left alone by many denizens of the region and era. Hidden in the southern regions, the Ice Bowl was an icy, storming region that was known for deep snowfall. Many Historians remark at the shape of the bowl in antiquity, suspecting that it may have been the sight of a large asteroid or meteor crash at some point.

Little is known about its area, but many mammalian primates and mammoths were known to migrate during the winter seasons from the Ice Bowl.

In the Northern region, a large landbridge connected the central sphere of Ad-Anasia to the Eastern Hemisphere. Mountainous regions where the plates once met now formed large mountain chains that split the Northern areas into smaller, diverse biomes.

Ecosystem

The Eastern Hemisphere of Ad-Anasia was marked with an abundance of plant-life. In the furthest regions from the active volcanoes, plants had spread to many different areas, and different kinds of plant specific biomes were found later by Historians. One particular species of Insectoid- the Giant Dragonfly- is remarked for having been found in samples of amber and other sappy confines.

Slimes, or Amorpho Glup (and the Amorpho Blop or Blob) are the ancient ancestors of the Ooze family that made its way from the ocean to land and began to diversify within a matter of thousands of years. Their species is one of the oldest and most unchanged since the ancient eras, having adapted strange and unique adaptations for singular and multi-cellular life forms.

Many small Saurians had already begun their transformation from Terran land creatures to Aquatic and Aerial creatures. The largest Aerial Saurian dominated the skies of the Saurian Era- until Dragons hunted it into extinction once they gained the adaptation for flight. At the same time, smaller Saurians had lost most of their resemblance to reptiles and adapted warm-blood, like primates, and had become the first of the Avian species.

Mammalian species flourished in the Northern and Southern regions. With specimen such as the Hert, a type of Terran quadraped with antlers and hooves, and the hairy primates, which started to form their own diverse groups as they migrated inland.

Ecosystem Cycles

Seasonal cycles within the Eastern Hemisphere were calmer compared to the rest of the World; as the Green Zones flourished there, warmer seasons were abundant with new growth and expansions of foliage.

The Eastern shores and those borders closest to the North and West were often known for coastal storms. These were remnants of the storms that often wracked the Western coastal regions and made their way on the wind currents towards the Eastern Hemisphere. Monsoons and tsunamis weren't uncommon during the rainy seasons, but they tended to be brief.

The winds off of the inner ocean between the Central sphere and the westbound cliffs and coasts of the Eastern Hemisphere created conditions for warmer regions to thrive along the west. A large coastal beach was known by fossil Historians and Draceologists as a merger between the Aquatic and Terran landscapes. It stayed warm all year long compared to the rest of the inland areas or the far Eastern shores.

History

Saurian Era

As the earliest of the Ad-Anasian spheres to form, verdant jungles and primordial swamps existed throughout the Saurian Eras. These fertile grounds were the birthplace of many reptiles and amphibious species. Historians have noted the vast variety of species located in these separate areas of the world. While many of the mammalians migrated between the north and south accesses, Saurians remained relatively located in the East.

A narrow strip of land became a bedrock of discovery when ancient traces of different remains of species were found in the lowlands of this region. The shape of this area forced its inhabitants underground, which were used for thousands of years. Serving as an entrance into the Subterranae, it offered protection to many different varieties of species of fish and mammals, Insectoids, and Saurians from the cold winters above.

This place was also noted as a breeding ground for the ancestor of the Dragons- the Drakis Chelon or "Dragon Turtle". From this den, different species of Drakis emerged and fled the cold wintry lands above ground. Some species even went beneath the earth, finding refuge in the vast subterannean channels and oceans found below. This place is often referred to as the "Den of Drakonis" and has been referenced in mythological works related to the Dragons.

Draconian Era

The Draconian Era saw the arrival of many Draconic species, including the Wyrd (a large Terran serpentine species that lived above and deep below ground) and the Drakite (a large Aerial species of quadrapedal Drakis which climbs and glides). Dragons were fond of owning exotic members of their species, whether it be as food items or companions. The domestication of these creatures is a well-kept Draconic secret.

When the Dark Lord Shoden Lo conquered the World, the Green Draconians were given many regions in the East, which were taken from the Bronze and Iron Dracadians. The realms here, compared to the rest of the Draconians' reigns, were considered to be the most honorable and respectable of the Draconians. Though many others followed in the cruel steps of their dark patron, the Green Draconians maintained a level of civility throughout the Era, even aiding in the events which led to the Dark Lord's usurp.

As such, the Green Draconians of the East, though held with some level of mistrust for other deeds, were often seen as a group that would honor their promises to the letter of their word- but only so far.

The Draconian Era was marked as a time of bloodshed, but great civilizations thrived as a result of the events of the Draconians' Wars. After the divide of Ad-Anasia, the Eastern Hemisphere would later go on to form several parts of the world, including the major area of Xi' Izuman, smaller isles of the El' Fadae, and southern parts of Ol' Garand.
