Eleurissa
The largest city on Ataraxia Island in Euhukoa Empire, Eleurissa is known for its exquisite ceramics. It is located on the southwest edge of Eleu lake with a mountain range towering to the west and a forest to the south. Like all major cities across the empire, Eleurissa is home to the island's skyport and as such gets a lot of traffic from traders and other travellers.
Industry & Trade
The land that is rich in clay around Eleu lake has led to a large pottery industry in Eleurissa and these ceramics are the main exports from the city. Not only the special purple clay has made the pottery from Eleurissa so popular, but they have masters of the craft that can turn the most ordinary lumps of clay into absolute masterpieces.
From cooking pots and plates to sculptures, if it can be made out of clay then someone in Eleurissa is making it - and making it better than people from anywhere else in the empire, perhaps even the world. Becoming an apprentice to a potter is a very sought after position and cause of fierce competition.
Some of the clay is exported but depending on the seller, the purple clay is sometimes more expensive to buy than getting already created ceramics using that same clay.
Other than clay and pottery, the big industries in Eleurissa are fishing, farming, and mining from the nearby mountain range.

The land around Eleu lake which Eleurissa sits next to is rich in clay of a variety of colours. There is the normal range of whites, greys, browns and reds but there is also a more unique looking clay of purple so deep it looks black unless directly illuminated by a light source.
