Mahkala Proudheart (Kashieff)
Mahkayla Proudheart's maiden name is Kashieff. Her father was a well known merchant prince in the Kingdom of Nalaria, and the Kashieff family still is respected and feared merchant family to this day. She was born in city of Saladim in the Kingdom of Nalaria along the center of Arathil. She was the first queen of the KIngdom of Proudheart. She met Aletheus Proudheart I while her family was visiting Port Mafika, and instantly fell in love with the man. When he continued his journey north to what is now the Kingdom of Proudheart she did not hesitate to go with him. After reaching their destination and before Aletheus launched his campagin to drive the goblnoid races out of the area he had landed she wed him. When he was named king she became queen.
Her leaving with Aletheus started a fued between another merchant family that still lingers to this date. She was promised to a son of that merchant family, but he treated her badly and when she met Aletheus she saw a way out so she snuck off with him on his ship to the north.

Mahkala did not approve of the way Aletheus cottled Margarette. Always showing favortism toward her. So Mahkala would be strict with Margarette, which in the end Margarette was thankful. The strictness and fairness her mother showed her allowed Margarette to be a very respected countess.

Circumstances of Death
She died peacefully of old age with all her children, save one, by her side. Edwin I passed away during his short ten year reign.
