Aletheus Proudheart I
Aletheus Proudheart I was the first king of the Kingdom of Proudheart, but his journey to the formation of the kingdom was wrought with pain, death, and other hardships. His reign lasted for fifteen years.
Originally from the frozen lands in the far south area of Arathil, he was a warrior in his clan. He was the son of the most favored warrior, Alexander, of his clan. After an attack from the frigid beasts of the wild tundra that wiped out half the clans in the area, he rallied the remaining survivors and convinced hundreds of them to set sail north across the Southern Ocean in search of new lands in the far north of the world. Many answered his called, gathered all they could, and set sail shortly after across the vast ocean.
After spending months on the ocean, he and his men stopped in Port Mafika, which was located in the Aranite kingdom of Nalaria. He and his men stay here a couple months working odd jobs and recouping and restocking the food and supplies they had used on the first leg of their journey.
It was here he met a beautiful Aranite woman named Mahkayla Kashieff, who was the daughter of respected merchant prince in kingdom. From the first moment they met the fell in love with other and when it was time for Aletheus to continue his journey north Mahkayla left with him to the dismay and anger of her father and mother. Their second and final leg of their journey would be three months.
After three months of the grueling Sea of Tears, they entered the Bay of Restless waters and landed their fleet of ships on the spot that is now known as Port Alexander, named after his father. They began to build homes along the coast and began to harvest wood from the nearby forest that would later be named The Wayward Forest.
Soon after they landed though was when disasters began to occur. Goblinoid races began to raid their small communities along the coast. Initially the raids took them by surprise and lost many lives, but Aletheus being a warrior in his former clan set up defenses that began to thwart most of the raids.
It was then that the small sects of humanoids that hid in forests and hill began to come to Aletheus and join his ranks. They figured they would be safer with these new people and their unsaid leader. It was because of this that Aletheus came up with the idea to launch a campaign to push the goblinoids out of the immediate area.
Before this started though, he and Mahkayla was wed, and enjoyed a night before he left to lead his men. She became pregnant, and he had the child while Aletheus was on the battlefield. In a letter to here before giving birth he had told her if it was a boy it shall be named Edwin after his grandfather.
After the campaign started it lasted for ten years. Many lost their lives, but with each victory many hidden communities of humanoids joined Aletheus. It was in a final push by giants from the mountain ranges from the north that almost did Aletheus in, but with the help of the dwarves from Steelegate, Aletheues overcame that push and finally had the victory in his campaign.
After returning to Port Alexander to retrieve his wife and son. He spoke to the people about uniting under a kingdom and all cheered saying he should be their king for leading them to victory over the evil goblinoid races. Humbly he accepted and thus the Kingdom of Proudheart was formed. He deemed the town of Pride, which is now a bustling city, would be the capital of the kingdom. He would go onto have one more son and two daughters. The following from oldest to youngest; Magarette, Michael, and Cynthia.

King Alethues was very fond of his first daughter Margarette. He was not going to have just anyone wed her so it took a long process in finding her a good match with Jacob Henry.

Circumstances of Death
Died in a battle against raiding Mountain Giants. Years of battle and age had caught up to him. He would not let his men lead him and he was at the front of the defense. He died with honor and valor.
