Vallahad
Vallahad, formerly captain of the royal guard, became increasingly disillusioned with the Imperatrix after countless mindless Ranegen are brought into the fold, sitting wrong with him. Even assurances that these Ranegen are reformed dissenters didn't sway his opinion in her favor, and one night, while Raneda is in council with her peers, he leaves an opening in the guard detail, allowing room for himself to steal into the night, using what remains of his standing to commandeer one of the Imperatrix's weapons platforms. This platform has been dubbed the Gauntilus in the time since, serving as a standing emblem, as the flagship of the rebellion's versatile might; always on the move and capable of fighting wherever the need arises.
