Labyrinth Mutation

Named after a rumored labyrinth of flesh on some far-flung planet in the galactic fringe, some call the planet Carnis.

Transmission & Vectors

The only known method of becoming infected with the Labyrinth Mutation is to come into contact with a creature from Carnis- chiefly the Labyrinth Beast- or from those infected.

Symptoms

After a somewhat lengthy incubation period, the visible symptoms appear usually as networks of dark veins under the skin, as well as the budding growth of new tendril-like appendages. Mentally, symptoms manifest as voices scratching at the back of your mind, growing gradually in volume, until their words start to hold sway over your very thoughts.
In addition, your very body becomes an infection vector for the mutation, especially the soft tissues and bodily fluids, though this can, supposedly, be suppressed with enough willpower.
