Havn

Havn is a large town in the Trilmo Confederation⁣⁣⁣ and is located on the coast. It is primarily a resupply station for ships traveling north to Hellavosen or west to the islands of Jaya.

Government

A local magistrate governs the town and is selected by the residents every two years.

Defences

The town is situated on top of the cliffs overlooking the sea. The inner town, with the citadel and upper-class residences, is located on the topmost bluff. Lower-class residences, workshops, and the marketplace are built on terraces cut into the cliff. A winding, cliff-side road connects the upper bluff to the wharves, which are built in a shallow cove carved from the cliff by the waves. The docks themselves are on stilts that extend into the cove.

Industry & Trade

Trade is the main industry of the town, as it is an important stopping point for merchants needing to resupply after a long journey. Fishing and shipbuilding are other vital commercial ventures practiced in the city.

Guilds and Factions

The Seafarers' Guild, one of the seven major guilds in Trilmo, has a large presence in Havn. A smaller branch of the guild, the Chapter of Shipbuilders, designates Havn as their main location of business and their office is located near to the wharves in the lower town.

Geography

The town rests on massive white limestone cliffs, more than 300 feet above the waves at some points. Many sea pillars and arches litter the seaside north and south of Havn, due to the relentless tides carving small coves into the cliffs. The land around the town is relatively flat with undulating hills sprinkled with rocky outcrops.
