Aquevaia
In the beginning of time, long before any creature disturbed the tranquil emptiness of its vast plains, Mea'hana, the World Maker, dreamed of freedom. Her brothers and sisters misunderstood her distant gaze, thinking she wanted to claim the throne of power for herself, and cast her out. Justly heartbroken by a betrayal of those dear to her, Mea'hana escaped to the farthest corner of the universe, where her family could never follow. There, she wept, and a single tear fell, glistening, from her cheek. Cupping it in her hands, Mea'hana wondered at its beauty, and from this tear, she fashioned the seas and oceans. She whispered her hopes for the world, thus creating the winds. With her blood, she made the volcanoes of Jaya, and from her flesh rose the continents. Mea'hana gazed on her creation at last, after five days, and the light in her eyes became the sun. She plucked two gems from her crown and made the moons.
But the world lay barren and Mea'hana could not bear to have such a beautiful thing unknown to anyone save herself. So she created the races of the world to inhabit her jewel and bestowed upon them the freedom she herself gained at the cost of everything. Three thousand years passed in the flow of time, and the world evolved beneath the benevolent shine of Mea'hana's Light.
Welcome, adventurers, to the world of Aquevaia. May Mea'hana light your way.
