Dragon
Dragons are an ancient species, that is both powerful and intelligent. Their anatomy is varied usually with wings, magical abilities, and a breath weapon. This race comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, from true dragons to dragon-touched. Dragons are feared for their predatory behavior, cunning and greed. Of course, not all dragons have these properties. Just like any other race, they can be of any alignment, with various qualities and abilities.

Anatomy
This depends on what variation of dragon it is. The majority have 4 legs and wings or 2 legs and wings, some even have no legs with or without wings.
Biological Traits
The chromatic types of dragons are the most intelligent, longest-lived, and most powerful of all the dragons; these are also the first true dragons. The rest are their descendants, although not as powerful, they are still feared and awed by other races.
On Aquatica most dragons are not big on hoarding treasure, of course, some evil ones do crave precious metals and gems.
Genetics and Reproduction
Genetically dragons are always the predominant genes, their traits are always the dominant ones. If they will, they can breed with anything of compatible size. Most dragons lay eggs, but a few are live-born, but for some reason, the egg-born are stronger.

They can live anywhere they choose to, but some dragons do prefer certain climates
Dietary Needs and Habits
Most dragons are carnivores, but each makes its own choice. Evil dragons prefer to eat sentient creatures, especially dinosaurs. Some dragons even have an appetite for certain inorganic materials such as precious metals, gems, and stone. One reason that dragons stay so lean is that they have a high metabolism, at need they can slow it down and enter a hibernetic state.

The dragons of Aquatica are very social creatures and are only rarely solitary.

Anyone who tries to capture and domesticate a dragon will have to deal with the might of all dragonkind.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Occasionally, a dragon will hire themselves out if they think the price or cause is just. Some brave or stupid hunters will try to kill a dragon, but they are usually just eaten or killed.

History
The true dragons believe that they were sent to Aquatica by their creator Asgorath, also called Io. They arrived in a meteor shower, as crystalline eggs.
