Aeon

This is the capital of the planet Aeon, the world of the Aeonian. Some of the Ascended Aeonians were born here. Some tribal Aeonians stayed behind after the others left.
One of the first to ascend was Aeon, a respected religious teacher (like Budha). Many shrines/temples were built after his "death."
They have public hover transportation; it's free and in excellent condition. All Aeonians are vegetarian. Many of the supplies, that they don't produce are bought from the Starfarers.
Aeonians use both magic and technology and often combine them into magitech. Mechanical drones send messages, they look like beetles.
The capital is very old, older than the person, but it was renamed not long after his death. It used to be called Cosmeer. Important historical events are important to the Aeonians--birth, death, holidays, creation of magitech, first ansible connections, meeting the Starfarers, first galactic flight, etc.
The people accept magic and technology; everyone is free to worship any God or none. Supernatural beings are believed in and sometimes worshiped, or honored.
Strangers are welcome. Mayors are elected every two years. It is a meritocracy, everyone has a right to run for a seat on the council or any other office.
The city is safe, there are no brigands or any large predators. It has a large population of Aeonians, they are the only sentient species on Aeon.
There are rarely more than 2% visitors at a time. Aeon welcomes peaceful ones. They will party at the drop of a hat and are very joyful. It is a fun town.
The town is only separated by what happens there- industry, housing, shopping, etc.- but not always either. Monsters are unknown here. The protectors (usually mechanical), take care of that so the townsfolk don't have to.
The town is 5 square miles in diameter with agricultural land surrounding it. The city center is the Old Town of Cosmara. Their is extensive irrigation in the farmland. Old Town is well-preserved as a historic area, it is a walk-only zone.
Large aquifers and various springs feed the city and farms. The continent is named. It is a temperate climate in the Goldilocks zone. The temperature is perfect, they wear thin, and flowing clothing. 
Low, rolling hills surround the valley where the city and farms are, with a few tall mountains in the distance. Some small rivers and a few streams wind through the farms. The city is mostly flat with a few low hills. Old city hall is the highest building in town, connected to it is the performance center and ballroom which doubles as a meeting room.
There are no truly wealthy or poor people here because it is a communal society that believes in merit. Wealth is distributed equally. Pollution is non-existent because they have always been cognizant of the environment.
