The Dawn Age

Overview
The origins of the universe are a mystery, and even its earliest days are beyond comprehension.
In a roiling sea of elements, consciousness arose in the form of primordials, and in time, mortals.
From the sanctuary of a young Apocrypha, deities emerged - then dragons, giants, and beyond.
These times, prior to the Veil of Severance, were the stage upon which ancient history was set.
The Primordial Epoch.   "At a certain point, the distinction between a single moment and eternity becomes meaningless."   Years: ~ ????? DA > 5,000 DA ~   Though the earliest days - if such a thing existed - are forgotten, tales of the later Epoch have survived.
Where the elements coalesced, an unlikely sanctuary was formed, and gradually, mortal life emerged.
Concepts like order and chaos manifested as gods, seeking to protect the mortals who imagined them.
The Dawn War.   "They say the Bridged Archipelago was once Asgorath's spine. I can barely imagine war at such a scale."   Years: ~ 5,000 DA > 3,750 DA ~   Conflict escalated, and deific avatars used their bodies as shields, protecting mortals from the onslaught.
Entire generations of mortals spent lives, knowing only the shadows of an aegis beneath the burning sky.
This culminated in the exile of the Dawn Titans to the elemental planes, and the World Shaper's death.
The Draconic Aeon.   "Their reign was never quite forgotten. Our heraldry, our metals, our colours - all symbols of royalty."   Years: ~ 3,750 DA > 2,500 DA ~   With dragons cast across the planet with Asgorath's demise, they rapidly came to rule over all things.
Over this era, with gods now wounded, dragonkind were revered by their cults as though lesser gods.
From the Drachim Empire to Zhen Dynasties, the dragons made their mark forever... then vanished.
The Time of Giants.   "Professor, I know we're discussing the Ordning - but you never explained where the dragons went."   Years: ~ 2,500 DA > 1,250 DA ~   The giantkin order - or Jotunbrud Ordning - covered most of the world, subjecting mortals to tribute.
Kind giants offered protection and religious freedom, with their runes aiding magical advancements.
Elsewhere, raiding, Stormlord-monotheism, and even slavery were imposed, leading to revolution.
The Break of Dawn.   "The Lyceum was built in the Illumination. It often feels like we're still following in their footsteps."   Years: ~ 1,250 DA > 0,001 DA ~   With mortality finally free to act and worship freely, both technology and deific power flourished.
The deities were free to aid mortals directly, resulting in magnificent feats still yet to be repeated.
Rapidly developing societies began to clash during this era, beginning the first War of the Gods.
