Solar Calendar

Overview
The Solar Calendar, also called Dro-Madan and Three-Seasons Calendar, is based on the Sun's movements.
It also takes the continent's weather cycles into account, which different - or opposite - to those further north.
Each month is 40 days, based on specific angles and the lengths of shadows cast upon sun dials at noon.
Its development by Asari travellers likely influenced the its's focus on the Sun, and abstract month names.
Months and Seasons.   There are 3 seasons in each year - simply named Dry, Cool, and Wet - each lasting for 4 months.
Highest at noon in the first season, the sun descends in the second season, rising again in the third.
Each month is 40 days long, with 9 months total - tracked using sun dials calibrated to local latitude.
This calibration is geometric in nature, resulting in complex mosaic patterns, denoting specific days.   Dry Season Months: Sand's Dawn, Sand's Crest, Sand's Dusk.
Cool Season Months: Wind's Dawn, Wind's Crest, Wind's Dusk.
Wet Season Months: Rain's Dawn, Rain's Crest, Rain's Dusk.
Weeks and Days.   There are 8 days in each week, divided into 4-day halves, simply referred to as former and latter.
The fourth day of each week is typically one of socialisation, with the eighth being one of relaxation.
Likewise, the weeks in each month are simply referred the first, through fifth - if mentioned at all.
It is not uncommon for dates to be spoken of using their numbers, rather than their given names.   Days of the Former: Mbeya, Okoli, Qhara, Ayang'e.
Days of the Latter: Mbazu, Okana, Qhidu, Ayapo'e.
Calendar Formatting.   Dates are numerically notated using the day, month, and year, along with the Era.
For example, the 212th day of the year 2453, would be written as 12/06/2453/5E.
With given names, this is Ayang'e, 12th of Wind's Dusk, Year 2,453 of the 5th Era
A week later, the date will be Ayang'e, 20th of Wind's Dusk, Year 2,453, and so on.
