Overview

At the end of the Dawn Age, the First War of the Gods concluded with the exile of deities from Apocrypha.
This act, conducted by mortals and the gods known as Cadences and Axioms, started the Mortal Edifice.
With it, a metaphysical barrier - the Veil of Severance - prevented deities from directly affecting the plane.
Mortals were free to shape the world thereafter, and it is upon this stage that modern history is set.

Edification, the 1st Era. "In just one small moment, the universe was made mortalfold. Nothing would ever again be the same." Years: ~ 0,001 ME > 1,250 ME ~ The Veil of Severance now raised, the peoples of Apocrypha came together to assert their dominions.
A plethora of new peoples, born from great conflict, sought out and founded societies for themselves.
This time was not without conflict, and much bloodshed occurred over territorial and religious disputes.

Resurfacing, the 2nd Era. "The Wyrd Regent knew it was coming, and they were prepared. Honestly, it kind of terrifies me." Years: ~ 1,250 ME > 2,500 ME ~ After a great flood sunk much of the world, many technologies and historical records were lost asea.
Though famine was common at first, much of this era was peaceful, and dedicated towards rebuilding.
With the growth of the Wyrd Tree and Everglade, the world was inspired to flourish in equal measure.

Arcane Flux, the 3rd Era. "Dunamancy's true enigma is its discovery. Perhaps we're simply beneficiaries of our prior selves." Years: ~ 2,500 ME > 3,684 ME = Escaping the Temporal Cascade time-anomaly, wild and anti-magic ran rampant across Apocrypha.
Incongruent memories loomed over the era, sparking a deep paranoia and conflicts over the occult.
It was in this period that Dunamancy emerged, as the threads of fate were laid bare by the weave.

Time of Strife, the 4th Era. "The XanHuo volcano was only a mountain before the 4th Era, and it hasn't stopped erupting since." Years: = 3,685 ME > 4,912 ME = After zealotry and scheming culminated in the Second War of the Gods, the fallout was long-lasting.
Weakened, the gods were unable to aid worshippers, leaving them to faithless and bloody battles.
New dynasties were born, territories redrawn, and beliefs emerged, fuelled by the fires of industry.

Prosperity, the 5th Era. "Declaring it the Era of Prosperity was seriously tempting fate. Yet here we are, still prospering." Years: = 4,913 ME > ????? ME ~ Apathy seeped into the bones of mortal-kind, as lifelong feuds and tensions slipped into memory.
Global powers convened, and the Accords of Peace standardised the worlds times and currencies.
Though war is infrequent, the arrival of black-powder firearms have raised tensions once again.
