Cornstalk City

Cornfell is a sprawling city in the Kingdom of Southfield, it is physically massive and watches over the fertile plains of the region. Its wealth and influence come from its vast production of grain, which feeds many other cities and kingdoms. The city is surrounded by rings of farms and hamlets, where hardworking peasants tend to the crops and livestock. The city itself is divided into districts, each with its own character and culture. The noble district is where the Grainfell family and other aristocrats live in lavish mansions and palaces. The merchant district is where traders and craftsmen ply their wares and services, creating a bustling and diverse market. The common district is where most of the population lives, in modest houses and apartments. The slum district is where the poor and the outcasts dwell, in squalid conditions and constant danger. The military district is where the city’s guards and soldiers train and patrol, keeping the peace and defending the walls. The temple district is where the faithful worship and seek guidance from the gods, in majestic cathedrals and shrines. The Orchard District which is a forest of fruit trees within the city. And finally there are 3 Agricultural district full of farms but within the cities sprawling walls.
The city’s only big attraction is the horse and chariot races, which are held every week at the grand arena. The races are a spectacle of speed, skill, and excitement, drawing crowds from all over the city and beyond. The races are also a source of gambling, rivalry, and intrigue, as different factions compete for glory and influence. The races are overseen by the Lord of the Races, a powerful and charismatic figure who controls the arena and its secrets.

Demographics

The population of Cornstalk City is mostly human but when they were introduced to the VCG as the Cornstalk Clan some dwarves from other clans volunteered to join them to speed up their growth and ease them into dwarven culture. Nearly 100% of the dwarves who did so stayed behind when the VCG retreated north and reformed into the Holy Dwarven Empire. These new dwarves still worship Gott but having lived with mostly humans for a decade now. The Uberkleru of the clan is actually also the Count who rules. His kleru training was fast tracked to maintain stability.
